Come Checkout These Partners In Love

When an unplanned and unwanted remodel of his apartment leaves Detective Dylan Vancarr homeless, the natural thing for him to do is turn up on the doorstep of his best friend and partner, Tyler Wilky.

An arrangement meant to last only for a night quickly turns into a surprisingly comfortable new life for the both of them.

While living with Tyler and realizing just how easily their lives mesh, Dylan quickly begins to realize that he may have found a partner for more than just the job.

He may have found a partner in love.

Excerpt:

“Hey, Ty?” Dylan practically whispers.

“Yeah?” Tyler hums back.

“Things’ll be better tomorrow, right?” Dylan doesn’t want to admit to the way his voice breaks on the question, doesn’t want to admit that sometimes the job gets to him like this.

To his credit Tyler doesn’t say anything, doesn’t call Dylan on his moment of weakness and need. Instead he wraps his arm a bit tighter around Dylan’s shoulder, pulls him in closer and moves his face so that he can whisper in his ear.

“Yeah, princess.” Tyler’s breath is warm against his skin. “They’ll be better tomorrow. I’ll make sure of it.”

The funny thing is that Dylan’s pretty sure that Tyler can do it, and that tomorrow will be better because it won’t dare defy Tyler’s truly epic stubbornness.

Dylan drifts off into a hazy state of almost sleep, comforted by Tyler’s familiar presence and the rhythmic puffing of warm breath on the side of his neck.

It’s comfortable and comforting being so close to Tyler. It feels more like home than anything Dylan’s felt in years.

Let's be just A Little Bit Reckless

Blurb:

When Hannah Knowles is invited on a winter get away by friends she doesn’t expect it to end in disaster.  An overheard conversation leaves Hannah reeling from the discovery that those friendships are a lot more one sided than she’d thought.  Determined to leave she ends up stranded in a winter storm only to be taken in by Luke, the sexy and seemingly unattainable older brother of Jamie, her childhood friend.

Luke Draper is more than happy to take Hannah in out of the cold.  Having the alluring Hannah in close confines with him is both painful and tempting for Luke.  Still, conscious of her fragile feelings, Luke’s determined to carefully restrain his long held desire.  Until Hannah makes a suggestion that Luke’s hard pressed to pass up.
Together Hannah and Luke have to decide if being a little bit reckless is really the right thing to do.

Teaser:
For a long moment Luke didn’t, couldn’t, breathe, his air trapped somewhere in his chest.
‘Did she really just say that?’  Luke asked himself incredulously.  Unable to believe what he’d just heard he struggled to rein in his suddenly whirling mind.
Aware that Hannah was staring at him, an expectant look on her face, Luke shook his head harshly and tried to come back to reality.
What?”  His voice came out as little more than a rasp.  Luke swallowed harshly, aware of the dry clicking sound his throat made, and tried not to focus on the way his cock automatically stiffened or how sheer want surged through his veins.  Every fantasy he’d ever had about her seemed to be trying to rush in on him all at once, and to compete for first place in his mind.
“I said,” Hannah’s head was tilted up at an almost defiant angle but Luke could tell that her boldness was beginning to fade, “I think we should have sex.”
“Yeah,” Luke nodded as he stepped carefully over the broken shards of the dropped mugs and moved to stand directly in front of her, “that’s what I thought you said.”
Then he did the only thing he could do in that moment.
He leaned down and kissed her.

The magnificent Naomi Clark is here with The Beast of Birch Hill!

Blurb

Wildlife photographer and cryptozoology blogger Emma Jordan came to Birch Hill expecting to find another urban legend. The rumours of a big cat stalking the woods around this quiet town surely had to be just that - rumours. But when the evidence starts to pile up that Birch Hill really does have a killer cat on the loose, Emma finds herself caught in a confusing game of cat and mouse. And her blossoming relationship with Abi Blakely might just be pushing her further into danger.

Excerpt

A couple of hours later, showered, changed, and feeling human again, Emma headed back to Abigail's Bakes. She told herself she was just looking to grab a quick lunch and sit somewhere pleasant while she updated her blog. Privately she had to admit it would be nice to just look at Abi while she worked.
The place was much busier than it had been that morning; it was full of kids and families jostling for table space. Abi and a younger girl worked the counter with cheer and ease, and cafe was filled with chatter and laughter. Emma joined the queue, trying to catch Abi's eye. When Abi saw her, she waved and favored Emma with that infectious smile.
“How was your hike? Did you catch the Beast yet?” she asked Emma as she served her.
“Not yet. Maybe later.” Emma picked out a bacon and cheese strudel and a spiced apple muffin. “Do you have wifi in here? I need to get online.”
Abi passed her a slip of paper with a password on it along with her food. “Help yourself. Catch you later.”
Emma smiled, hoping the words weren't just a mere formality. She found a table tucked away in the corner and flipped open her netbook. Her main source of income was her photography, supplying stock images for websites and brochures, entering as many competitions as she could, and doing the occasional teaching course if she wasn't traveling. It was steady money, and a hefty inheritance from a grandparent she'd never met allowed her to live in comfort and indulge her other passion – the alien big cat stories. Her blog, After Dark All Cats Are Leopards, was one of the better-regarded in both the cryptid and sceptic communities and she had a steady following. When she'd announced last week that she was heading for Birch Hill, her views had skyrocketed, and even though she didn't have much news to add yet, it was probably a good idea to update now.
She plugged her digital camera into the netbook and uploaded the photos she'd taken, eating as she worked. The strudel and the muffin were both perfectly delicious, and she allowed herself a brief fantasy of kidnapping Abi and making her bake for her full-time.
She didn't notice Abi had joined her until the other woman pushed a cup of coffee to her. “Looks like thirsty work,” Abi remarked.
Emma jumped, then grinned. “Bloggers are powered entirely by caffeine. Thanks.”
“So I looked you up after you left,” Abi said. “Why big cats?” She leaned her elbows on the table and rested her head in her hands. Her dark curls framed her face perfectly, her expression attentive and interested. Emma squirmed a little under her keen gaze.
“When I was a kid I wanted to find Bigfoot,” Emma confessed. “My dad used to take me out hiking in the Rocky Mountains and tell me stories about Bigfoot and skinwalkers, all kinds of stuff. I just loved it. Then I grew up and decided there wasn't much chance of Bigfoot really being out there. But big cats? Definitely.”
“You're so sure? Even though nobody's found a breeding population of wild tigers anywhere?” Abi asked with a grin.
“America's a big country. There's plenty of space for wide-roaming animals to hide. And big cats are generally elusive in their natural territories anyway. Yeah, I'm sure. People brought lions and tigers over here with circuses in the nineteenth century and there are thousands of people keeping them illegally today. There are orphanages for abandoned exotic animals up and down the country. It's not completely ridiculous that some escape or are released into the wild. And cats are so adaptable. Even if we're not talking big breeding populations, I think it's more likely that there are non-native big cats out there than not.”
“You love this stuff, don't you?” Abi said, looking thoughtful.
            Emma flushed. “Was I rambling?”
“No, it's interesting! I wish I could come out big cat hunting with you, but Jed probably wouldn't let me.” She stuck her tongue out as if she'd eaten something distasteful.
“Well, he's not coming either,” Emma said. “I take it he's more than just prickly with you?”
Abi shuffled Emma's empty plates around, looking embarrassed. “Oh, we just...clash. He's pretty conservative and I'm not. He thinks I lower the tone of the neighborhood.”
“Not a fan of baked goods?” Emma joked.
“Baked goods or lesbians,” Abi said with a shrug.
Emma's heart gave a little twist, but she kept her tone calm and amused as she replied. “Oh dear. I'd better not answer any personal questions he asks me then.”
Abi gave her a thoughtful look again that turned into a shy smile. “So what are you doing for the rest of the day? I'm off this afternoon.”
“I'm going back into the woods this evening but I'm free til then. Maybe...” Emma searched for something that didn't sound too forward but still made it plain she liked Abi. “Maybe we could hang out?” Ugh. Lame.
Abi didn't seem to notice. She flashed a dazzling smile. “How about a guided tour of Birch Hill? There's not much to see, but with the right company it has a certain charm.”
            “It's a date.”
Abi stood, grabbing Emma's plates. “Give me an hour and we're on.”
Emma watched her sashay away with a flutter of excitement. If the Beast of Birch Hill didn't show up, Abi might prove just as exciting.

About the Author

Naomi likes writing, perfume, fancy tea, and unfathomable monsters from the dark spaces between the stars, not necessarily in that order. She has been writing stories ever since she learned how to write, but is still trying to master the art of biography writing. When she's not dealing with werewolves, demons, or sea monsters, she's hanging out with her cat and probably watching a documentary about Bigfoot. If the cat isn't available, she's with her fiancé watching cookery shows and silently plotting her next book.

Don't miss out on your chance to find A Ticket to Love!

I'm back with a new Editor's Pick Romance on the Go title!  A Ticket to Love is now for sale thanks to the wonderful Evernight Publishing!

BLURB:

When Grayson Harkess arrests the wrong socialite’s son and is busted back down to traffic duty by his captain, he's understandably upset and angry.  With no other option but to wait his punishment out Grayson spends his shifts vindictively ticketing his fellow officers and biding his time until he can go back to what he should be doing:  solving real crimes.

Miserable and frustrated Grayson doesn't see an upside to his situation.  Not until he tickets a sports car for double parking and bumps right into the man of his dreams.  Luke Hill owns a local cafe, has horrible fashion sense and on top of being gorgeous is also, apparently, completely incapable of parking his car legally.  Grayson doesn't mind though, not when ticketing the man again and again turns into a standing lunch date and the chance to get to know Luke on a more … intimate level.

TEASER EXCERPT:

Luke writhed then, grabbed at Grayson’s hair and tugged hard. Grayson glanced up at him but didn’t stop. He stayed there on his knees and kept massaging the underside of Luke’s cock with his tongue. “Stop, Grayson. I don’t want to come yet,” Luke gasped out. “Not until you’re in me.”

Grayson groaned, squeezed his eyes shut, and pressed the heel of his free hand hard against the base of his own cock. Finally he pulled off of Luke and gained his feet as he licked a wet trail all the way up Luke’s body to his mouth.

Grayson kissed him then, long, slow, and deep. Luke match him move for move, and grinned up at him as Grayson pulled back with one last, long suck on Luke’s bottom lip.

“You have anything?” Grayson asked roughly. “Didn’t exactly come prepared.”

“Desk.” Luke panted and then twisted and stretched back across the surface of the desk to fumble one of the drawers open. He made a sound of triumph and twisted back around, a condom and a small tube in his hand and a grin on his face. “Got it.”

“Should I be worried or flattered that you’re so prepared?” Grayson asked as he leaned down and mouthed at Luke’s collarbone.

“Flattered.” Luke groaned out. “Definitely flattered since I bought it just for you.”

Sometimes Love Can Sit Down Next To You!!

BLURB:
Understaffed, overworked and generally exhausted contractor Ricci DeAngelo still has to contend with a long subway ride at the end of each day.  The last thing he expects is to fall head long into a relationship while dozing on the train.  But that’s exactly what happens when a sexy and equally exhausted stranger falls asleep on his shoulder one night.

Ricci’s nap partner ends up being Layton Callis, an equally overworked pâtissier who looks and smells good enough to eat.  When they unexpectedly fall into a routine of napping together on the late train Ricci finds himself in a unique position.  He can continue only seeing Layton during the week and spending his weekends in a sleepless mess.  Or Ricci can step up and see if he can get Layton to agree to wake up next to him on a more permanent basis.

EXCERPT:

“I’m going to kiss you now.”  Ricci blurted it out and watched Layton’s eyes go wide and then soft and hot. He reached out and put the empty mug on the bedside table beside Layton’s.

“If that’s how you react to coffee, I’m definitely going to have to cook breakfast…”  Layton’s teasing was drowned out as Ricci pushed forward and kissed him.

It started slow, just like the kiss from the night before.  Ricci teased the seam of Layton’s lips with his tongue, licked at the corners of his mouth leisurely for a moment before he swept inside.  He chased the taste of coffee around Layton’s mouth, learned the curve of his teeth and the wet, hot strength of his tongue all over again.  It was good, better than any kiss Ricci could remember at the moment.  It only improved when Layton pressed closer until Ricci was forced to lean back completely against the headboard so Layton could crawl forward onto his lap.

They broke the kiss slowly and stayed where they were for a moment, faces pressed close as they both panted for air.  Layton moved first. He slid his hands up the wide expanse of Ricci’s chest and then down over the curve of his shoulders as he ducked his head so he could place nipping kisses on the base of Ricci’s neck.

Ricci groaned and tipped his head back to give Layton better access while he clenched one hand in the sheet beside him and trailed the tips of the fingers on his other hand down Layton’s bare back until he could palm the curve of his ass.

Layton whined, a sweet high-pitched sound, when Ricci squeezed his ass lightly and then he set his teeth to Ricci’s skin harder in response.

Ricci bucked his hips upwards as he hissed at the sting.  They both groaned low and long when the rapidly hardening jut of his cock pressed against Layton’s through the thin fabric of their sleep pants.

“You said I could touch you.”  Ricci’s pulled Layton closer to him with the hand on his ass and finally untangled his other from where it had begun to claw at his bed sheets.  “I really hope you meant it.”

“I meant it.”  Layton’s words were broken by the way he panted against the curve of Ricci’s neck.  “I definitely meant it.”

Everybody needs a little Pick Me Up!

Now I know it's been awhile but I hope you guys haven't forgotten me!  In between finishing my YA novel and desperately hunting for an agent I've managed to put together a little something for you guys.  I hope you'll give my newest Romance on the Go piece a chance!

Blurb:

Bryce Huttner wasn’t looking for a one-night stand or a backroom fling when he agreed to go out with Jamie and Maddy, two of his closest friends, to the local club.  But, when he encountered a charming stranger on the dance floor, the man was almost enough to make him change his mind.  That was until the encounter was cut depressingly short.

When they eventually met again, Bryce was surprised to see that Felix’s interest in him had not wavered at all.  Felix seemed determined to win him over and had a never ending supply of horrible pick-up lines at his disposal.

Bryce quickly found himself torn between holding strong and giving into the desire to let Felix pick him up for real.

Excerpt:

“If I kissed you, would you punch me?” Felix asked. He looked down at Bryce where they stood outside his front door.

The porch light Bryce had turned on before he left shined down on them.

Bryce laughed, low and breathy, and watched the way Felix’s eyes went dark. Felix’s hand on his shoulder tightened before  loosening.

“Maybe,” Bryce said. He wasn’t serious, but was somehow unable to keep from teasing Felix. Low heat curled in his stomach, anticipation running high through his veins.

“Cold and cruel. Not sure if I want to risk it when I know how vicious you can be,” Felix said. He swooped down and did it anyway.

Felix’s mouth was soft against Bryce’s, his lips thin but soft. When Bryce opened his mouth for the welcomed thrust of Felix’s tongue, he tasted faint traces of chocolate and coffee. The kiss went hot, but stayed sweet with Felix in control, his mouth a hair shy of too gentle as he tangled his fingers in Bryce’s hair. Felix tilted his head and changed the angle of the kiss, made it deeper, hotter, a shade or two rougher, and Bryce groaned into it.

Bryce finally pulled back far enough to look up into Felix’s eyes. He stared at him, searched his gaze for a moment, and then had to admit he’d already made his decision. He’d made it as soon as Felix asked him out.

“Come inside with me?” he asked softly.

Felix’s eyes went wide then narrowed slightly. “You sure, Bryce? Because I don’t want this to be a one-time thing, I don’t want casual sex with you. If we do this, then I want us to do it right.” Felix’s face was serious, gaze sharp and attention focused.

That same warmth curl worked its way through Bryce’s chest, all because Felix wanted what he wanted. It was glorious.

“Oh yeah, I’m sure. We want the same thing, and we’ve known each other for months now. I’m tired of not admitting what I want, tired of not having you when it’s all I think about,” Bryce said, his voice low and steady, his gaze direct. He wasn’t ashamed of what he wanted, not now, not ever.

“So, I guess it’s safe to say those lines actually did work.” Felix grinned down at him, expression delighted, but filled with heat.

“Shut up,” Bryce said. The words came out as more of a huff before he reached up and pulled Felix back down into another heated kiss.

Felix ended the kiss then, pulled back and nudged Bryce forward to unlock his door. While Bryce was busy, Felix slid up behind him and dropped nipping kisses on the side of his neck. Bryce shivered and fumbled with his key as Felix chuckled, low and warm, behind him until he finally managed to get the door open.

He gestured for Felix to wait on the porch for a second as he slipped inside. He petted Snarl, reminded himself to introduce the two of them later, and then let the dog out into the fenced in yard. Felix waited for him underneath the light of the front porch. When Bryce got back, he noticed the way Felix looked, hair disheveled and mouth slightly swollen. Bryce couldn’t pull him forward into the house and another kiss fast enough.

They were noticeably wilder then. Their hands roamed over each other as Felix closed the door with his foot, and crowded Bryce against the nearest wall. Felix tugged at Bryce’s shirt until it slipped out of his waistband, and wasted no time in getting his hands on Bryce’s skin. He traced his way across Bryce’s stomach and up his chest. Felix raked Bryce’s nipples with his nails. Bryce gasped and bucked his hips up as he broke the kiss. His cock pressed against his zipper painfully as he panted up at Felix.

“Bedroom.” Bryce practically rasped the word out. He groaned low and deep in his throat when Felix’s mouthed at his neck, his tongue skating along his skin before he nipped him sharply.

Bryce pulled Felix’s shirt completely off then tugged at the fly of his pants as they stumbled towards his bedroom. Felix’s hands were just as busy, and by the time they managed to get to Bryce’s room, their shoes and socks were abandoned somewhere behind them. They stood at the end of his bed, panting, and stared at each other for a moment, and then Felix moved. He pushed Bryce, who fell back against the mattress, legs splayed and pants riding low on his hips.

Raven's Back!!

Once again I have the pleasure of having the talented Raven Mcallan on the blog today!  You don't want to miss out on her newest release!

Rebecca has kindly let me invade her blog again and tell you a little about Dance to a Different Beat. I did bring cookies though.

Dancing….
Whenever you hear a certain piece of music it can transport you away, back in time, to a different place.  Not always nice maybe, but more often than not it is. Your first kiss, that hot summer when you went to Corfu, the very first dance as husband and wife.  Or sniff the song you heard when your boyfriend ditched you, or you failed your driving test.
Okay let's now think happy things. The dance of love. Okay smaltzy, but as Jane and Sean will tell you, there's dancing and there is d a n c I n g …
Their dancing is not conventional, but is it theirs.
I had such a varied playlist in my head as I wrote this. I tend not to write to music, but every so often a song will pop up in my mind and I'll think oh yes, that's one of theirs. Dancing, with tears in her eyes… Rhythm of the night…Oh and Mambo number 5.

I've so enjoyed writing this, the second book in The Dance Studio Series. To think of a nondescript building in the center of Glasgow housing such a secret…

Blurb…
Jane has a decision to make. Meet Sean and face her demons or hide.
Sean is happy to help her, but will she let him?
All he wants is Jane and as for those demons? They're always better faced together, aren't they?

And a wee tease…
"Yeah." She spoke so softly he wondered if she really intended him to hear. "Yes, you're right. So, I'm scared, I don't want to have to make the decision that might change my life. And I thought if I goaded you to do whatever, then the decision was made for me. I'm so, so sorry."
Bloody hellfire, she was such a mass of contradictions. And stupidity. Sean saw red—literally. A red haze covered his eyes and he dug into the denim of his jeans to stop himself smashing something. "You stupid fucking idiot. Do you know what you've just admitted?"
Anyone else would have been on their knees babbling and remorseful. Not Jane. She poked him in the stomach. The impact of her hand wasn't much, but the impact of her words were. "Yes I do, or why would I apologize? You see I thought wrongly, I could trust you not to do anything I didn't want. You're a Dom, you know these things."
"Arg." Sean lost the plot, grabbed a crystal vase from the table and threw it and the contents against the wall. Shards of glass flew in all directions, and roses and water arced into the air. "Yes, when they know the sub. For fuck's sake did you learn nothing? And don't move or you'll cut yourself." Jane had jerked away from him, and looked like she wanted to throw the coffee pot at him. "Hell Jane, what the fuck's going on?" His chest heaved and he took great shuddering breaths. "We have to sort this out now. It can't be left. Ring in sick, spend the day with me. We'll talk and see where we can go afterward." He didn't wait for an answer but lifted her over the mess on the floor before he dragged her trousers off her ankles and threw them in the direction of the broken blooms. They landed next to a rose, its petals twisted and bruised. It reminded him of Jane, but he hoped not for long.

Raven lives in Scotland, along with her husband and their two cats—their children having flown the nest—surrounded by beautiful scenery, which inspires a lot of the settings in her books.
She is used to sharing her life with the occasional deer, red squirrel, and lost tourist, to say nothing of the scourge of Scotland—the midge.
A lover of reading, she appreciates the history inside a book, and the chance to peek into the lives of those from years ago. Raven admits that she enjoys the research for her books almost as much as the writing; so much so, that sometimes she realizes she's strayed way past the information she needs to know, and not a paragraph has been added to her WIP.
Her lovely long-suffering husband is learning to love the dust bunnies, work the Aga, and be on stand-by with a glass of wine.

Undercover Lover

Don't miss out on my newest Romance on the Go release Undercover Lover!

Blurb:

When vice cop Gentry Trecall is informed that he’s going to be going undercover as a hooker, thanks to the city’s latest bid to crack down on prostitution, he’s skeptical but resigned. What he doesn’t expect is to encounter someone like Dublin MacAulay, the owner of the popular night club The Pale that just so happens to be right across the street from the corner Gentry has been assigned.

Dublin’s unlike anyone Gentry’s ever met before. He gruff and sincere, trying to get him off the street. An unspoken attraction lingers between the two, but the truth about Gentry’s profession is the only thing that keeps it at bay.

When the truth finally does come out will Dublin be able to forgive Gentry for the lie he’s had to tell? Or will his undercover work lose Gentry the lover of his dreams?

Excerpt:
"I didn't think this far ahead," Gentry admitted quietly. His lips were slick and dark from being kissed, and Dublin pulled himself back from Gentry’s neck only to surge forward again to recapture them. Their tongues slid against each other, hot and wet and deliciously dirty, before Dublin pulled back again with a low groan.
“What do you want, Gentry? You have to tell me. You have to say it,” Dublin rasped, voice husky and eyes heavy lidded.
Gentry' mouth fell open, and his eyes dropped to Dublin's lips as he swallowed hard against the wave of vicious desire that roared through him. "I want everything. I want you and me naked in your bed, or on this bar, or where ever I can have you right now. I want you to fuck me hard and fast or deep and slow. I want you to give us both what we’ve been wanting since we met, and then I want you to do it over again. Please," Gentry added. His cheeks burned red, and he licked his lips nervously as he met Dublin’s gaze head on.
Dublin didn’t say a word, but he wasted no time in ushering Gentry to his feet. He led Gentry towards the back of the club and up a flight of steps into what Gentry could immediately tell was his private office. Dublin tumbled them both down onto the couch, his hot, firm weight pressing Gentry down into the thick cushions, and then Dublin kissed him again.

Welcome Aboard with Elyzabeth M. Valey!

Oh have I got a treat for you guys today!  I'm honored to have the wonderfully talented Elyzabeth M. Valey back on the blog today with her newest Romance on the Go piece Welcome Aboard!

Welcome Aboard

Isn't the cover to die for!?  But there's more! First we have a quick word from the author herself and then we have some more information on the story and your chance to win a free copy!!

Thank you, Rebecca for having me over!

Hi everyone! I’m here with Rebecca today to tell you about my latest release Welcome Aboard, a short story that belongs to Evernight Publisher’s Romance on the Go line. These stories are meant to be read during work breaks, on the bus, in the waiting room, or right before bed. Personally, I think they’re a great way to get your romance/erotic fix.*wink*

Blurb:

Julie is on vacation! After months of breaking her back at the office she’s ready for a weekend of absolute relaxation: a little reading, good food and some lazing at the beach are her idea of a perfect plan. However, when a handsome man with a sexy smile and naughty accent takes the seat next to hers on the train she’ll enter a wicked ride of passion and delight that will blow her mind and body away.

Julie’s naughty journey bump starts on the train when the passenger next to her catches a glimpse of what she’s reading on her e-reader.

As it turns out, she’s immersed in an erotic novel. That got me thinking, what do you guys think about reading erotic romance in public places? Sexy? Inappropriate? Embarrassing? Something that’s better done in private?

Personally, I write them and plot them in public places, (mainly on the bus, since it’s a long commute), so reading them doesn’t pose a problem. For many, the issue is not so much the material as it is the racy covers. E-readers are great in that aspect, as we can read whatever we want and no one needs to know. Although, I’m quite sure that by my silly grin, blushing cheeks and occasional squirming people might have an inkling about what my reading material is. *grin*

From what I’ve observed in the Madrid subway, ever since 50 Shades of Grey released people seem to be more open about their reading habits and don’t mind flaunting the covers. Not only have I seen the afore mentioned book openly displayed but also yummy print covers of other romance novels. Of course, I have noticed the occasional snigger or disapproving glance, but in general, no one seems to mind.

And I have to tell you, William, my hero from Welcome Aboard, sure didn’t mind peaking into Julie’s reader.

So, how about you, what are your reading habits?  Answer in the comments below and you’ll be entered to win a copy of Welcome Aboard! (Winner will be chosen using Random.org) Don’t forget to include your email so I can get in touch if you win.

Excerpt:

“We’re on a train,” she hissed, gesticulating wildly.

William laughed, the lines on his forehead vanishing.

“I noticed.” He lifted the armrest and placed his hand on her thigh again. Julie bit back an unwanted moan.  “What you failed to have seen, my sweet, is that we’re the only ones in this particular wagon.” He smiled smugly, drumming her thighs in a rhythm that almost had her lifting her hips.

Julie huffed. Yes, her body was weak with desire but she wouldn’t back down so easily.

“It’s a public space.”

“And doesn’t that excite you?” William asked, grasping her flesh, his fingers digging into her skin pleasurably.

Julie’s thoughts scattered. This was crazy. Out right crazy. She wasn’t a one-night-stand kind of girl. Sex in public had been out of the question, and yet—

She observed William. He was impassive, waiting for her resolution while toying with her lust. She shook her head. They could get caught. There could be cameras on the train and it was illegal.

“It’s illegal!” she blurted as the tips of his exploring fingers brushed against her sex.

“So?”

Grasping a strand of her hair between thumb and forefinger, he caressed it before neatly placing it behind her ear, brushing his thumb over the shell.

“It’s only illegal if we get caught, my sweet. I have no intention of allowing that.”

“But--”

His brown eyes bore into hers, the desire swirling in them making her weak at the knees.
“You want to, Julie. I know you do.”

“How?” She cried out the question as he finally pried his way underneath her jeans, resting his fingers above her soaking panties.

“For one, you’ve been squirming in that chair, a lot.” He smiled at her obvious discomfort. “Then,” he murmured, rubbing his finger over her swollen nether lips. “You’re dripping wet. If I wanted to, if you wanted to, I could probably slide this finger inside you without any restraint whatsoever. Maybe even two.”

This was so wrong. His scorching eyes begged her to accept the challenge. Julie bit down on her lip. She couldn’t say yes, not here.

“Tell me you want to, Julie.”

William’s finger found its way under the elastic of her thong. A moan became lodged in her throat as he touched her, learning the wet contours of her cunt with a single digit.

 “I—“
She hesitated. Did she want to? Did she really want to do this crazy thing? The tip of his finger hovered over her entrance, daring her to accept.

“Say yes, Julie.” His gaze was heated, his breath as shallow as hers.

She wanted this. Damned be it all, she wanted William’s fingers deep inside her pussy. She wanted the dazzling pleasure, the relief to the unrelenting throbbing between her legs. The realization of what she was about to do spiked her desire and cut off her ability to speak. Opening her legs wider, she smiled shakily. William’s lips parted slightly, his gaze fierce as he pushed a finger inside her. Julie reclined against her seat. Her eyes fluttered shut and she whimpered as another thick digit joined the first. She responded to him. He was her master puppeteer and she was his puppet, rolling her hips with every thrust.
“You want more?” he murmured, his lips hovering over hers.

Julie opened her eyes. William regarded her, his long lashes framing deep eyes that she couldn’t help thinking belonged to a poet at heart.

“Yes,” she whispered, closing the distance. Soft and compliant, she mewled her approval, as she tasted him. Her fear had vanished and left behind an ardor that required urgent appeasing. William grunted into her mouth as she teased his bottom lip, nipping at the full bow with relish. Tilting his head to the side, he swept his tongue over the seams of her mouth in a request for entrance. She granted it readily, taking in his tongue with a desperate hunger that rivaled his as they tangled.

He was relentless, his fingers toying with her sex even as he kissed her. In and out, the thick digits of his left hand pumped into her slowly. It was a delicious torture that only succeeded in making her hotter and more desperate for what was to come.

The Baker Gets His Man

I am thrilled to tell you all that my newest release The Baker Gets His Man for Evernight Publishing's Romance on the Go line is now up and available!  And don't miss your chance to win a free copy!  Details below!

BLURB:

Romance on the Go

Jacob Stine, one of the owners of the town’s bakery, has wanted Race Carroway since the moment they first met.  Despite the obvious tension between them, he’d always assumed that the hunky mechanic would never be interested in him.  Jacob had resigned himself to admiring Race from a distance until the day he’s forced to call him for help.

When the encounter turns steamy and then abruptly ends, Jacob is torn between hurt and confusion.  He has to make the decision between finally moving on and trusting Race with one more chance.  Will the baker have what it takes to get his man?

EXCERPT:

He was aware of the way Race’s long fingers wrapped around the steering wheel and how the muscles in his arm bunched when he shifted gears.  The cab of the truck smelt like sweat and grease and a hint of the spicy cologne Race wore.  Normally the combination would smell unpleasant, but it only reminded Jacob of days spent staring out the bakery window and watching as Race pulled himself, sweaty and disheveled, from underneath whatever vehicle he was working on.  Jacob had always imagined what it would be like to make his way into the garage at night when Race was working late, to find him laid out on the creeper wrist deep in the undercarriage of some car or truck.  To kneel on the cold concrete floor, unzip the fly of Race’s worn jeans, pull his cock out and swallow it down.

Jacob had spent more than one night, alone in his bed, hand fisted around his own cock as he imagined the choked off sounds of surprise Race would make as he sucked him off nice and slow.  He tried to shake the thought off, tried not to get caught up in the fantasy when Race was only inches away from him, but it proved harder to do than he’d ever imagined.

By the time Jacob saw his driveway in the distance he was half hard and sweating lightly, desperate to get out of the truck before he did something he’d regret.  Something like reach for the tab of Race’s jeans even though he was almost certain that Race wouldn’t welcome the gesture.  He was already reaching for his seatbelt as Race pulled into his driveway, but Race clamped a hand down on his shoulder and stopped him from leaping out of the truck.

Oh have I got a treat for you guys!!  I'm pleased to say that I have the lovely Doris O'Connor on the blog today celebrating her newest release.

Now I'm lucky enough to have the lady herself here to talk about this sizzling new piece!

Thanks so much for having me here today to share a little about my new release, Sol and the Magic Fingers.
This story was a dream to write, because it literally wrote itself J I've always been fascinated by Genies. Aladdin was one of my favourite stories as a child. So, when a reader left a comment on my blog wishing for a magical e-reader, I immediately thought, "Oohh, now there's an idea."
I was busy with other things, until New Year's Eve, when I was standing at my kitchen sink, doing the washing up, and … Poof … in true Genie style there was Sol in my head, telling me the entire first chapter.
Now, I love it when that happens, but it was New Year's Eve and I had a poorly toddler to boot. However, I know when resistance is futile, and like the dutiful author I am, I sat down and took dictation. Four am the next morning saw me type The End. J
So, there you have it. The magical journey of Sol, lol. I hope you enjoy reading his story as much as I enjoyed writing it…

Blurb:
Breaking your e-reader at the end of a long and trying day is enough to send any woman over the edge. Karen's one treat are her naughty stories. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Saucy stories in the old library? It doesn't seem likely, but when Karen is sent home with an odd looking reading device magic happens at the touch of her fingers. Is the drop dead gorgeous man she encounters real or just a flight of her imagination?
Caught in a weekend of sexual delight, will she lose her heart, as well as her inhibitions? And is there any future for the two of them?

Excerpt:
She jumped up, rinsed off her plate in the sink, and grabbing a fresh cup of coffee on the way, headed for the sanctuary of her bedroom. Here she liked to immerse herself in her stories, to forget about her worries, and let herself be transported into another world of drop dead gorgeous men, who actually knew how to pleasure a woman, and didn't leave their dirty socks on your bedroom floor. She giggled at the thought and ran her hands over the e-reader. Just like before it seemed to come to life in her hands. It shimmered and grew, and as if by magic the story she'd been reading appeared on the screen.  Well, Mr. Jones had said it was in there. She found her place and started reading.
Two hours later she dropped the reader out of her clammy hands and drew a ragged breath into her lungs. Wow, that had been an intense read. The story was hot, but somehow, this time round it had felt as though she had been the heroine in the book, so engrossed had she been in the scenes unfolding in her mind. Beads of perspiration covered her body, and her breasts felt heavy and so sensitive that the slightest touch of her blouse against her hard nipples sent darts of stinging awareness between her thighs. Her underwear was soaked through with the evidence of her arousal, and a mere brush of her fingers over the engorged nub at the top of her slit was all it took for her to tumble into a breathtaking orgasm.
When she had her breathing back under control, she smiled, as her fingertips touched the reader. It brightened and vibrated slightly, and Karen couldn't stop herself from murmuring her wish.
"If only you could magic me a real life man like the ones in your stories." The reader grew hot, and Karen yelped as it burned her fingertips. She blew on them and frowned, but the reader was once again back to normal. Still that odd looking design, but not glowing, vibrating, or otherwise, and—she touched it gingerly—not hot. Karen shook her head at her fanciful imaginings and headed for the shower.
That's what she needed, a nice long, hot shower to chase away the cobwebs and a chance to try out her new waterproof dildo. She sniggered as she turned on the shower and eyed the huge phallus shaped object. She would see…
She switched on the shower and stepped under the heavy stream. The power shower had been the major selling point when Karen had bought her apartment. Where other women soaked in the bath, she lingered in the shower. Nothing like letting the jets of hot water soothe cramping muscles and drain the stresses of the day down the swirling plughole. She closed her eyes and let her mind wander. She wasn't really standing in the shower—no she was on a tropical island under a cascading waterfall, waiting for her lover to appear. She smiled and cupped her breasts, imagining it was another set of hands massaging the heavy globes. She leaned back against the tiles to steady herself, only in her imagination it was her lover's hard muscled chest. Two strong arms circled her, and her heart did a silly little flop, as teeth grazed her ear.
"I've got you. Just let yourself feel." The deeply seductive, slightly accented voice dripped over her senses, like hot, molten chocolate, and the unmistakable edge of command caused a delicious flutter of excitement deep inside her core. He trailed his large, slightly calloused hands along her arms and pulled them up high above her head. Something wrapped around her wrists and another tug brought her up on her tiptoes. She swayed until his hard arm ‘round her waist grounded her against him. A hair-roughened thigh slipped between her legs, creating delicious friction against her core, and a rush of her juices coated her nether lips.
"Who are you?" She had to ask, even if it meant spoiling the magic, for the hard cock pressing into her ass cheeks left her in no doubt that she was not on her own. Either she was fast asleep, having the most erotic dream yet, or she had indeed been joined in the shower by an unknown man, whose clean and slightly spicy musk permeated her consciousness, and pitched her arousal higher still. Like the strongest aphrodisiac, his scent surrounded her, strange and familiar all at once, and the frisson of fear the absurdity of the situation brought with it, just increased the intensity of her feelings.
"I'm Sol, and I'm here to make your dreams come true. Will you let me?"

Author Bio:
Glutton for punishment would be a good description for Doris... at least that's what she hears on an almost daily basis when people find out that she has a brood of nine children, ranging from adult to toddler and lives happily in a far too small house, cluttered with children, pets, dust bunnies, and one very understanding and supportive husband. Domestic goddess she is not.
There is always something better to do after all, like working on the latest manuscript and trying not to scare the locals even more than usual by talking out loud to the voices in her head. Her characters tend to be pretty insistent to get their stories told, and you will find Doris burning the midnight oil on a regular basis. Only time to get any peace and quiet and besides, sleep is for wimps.
She likes to spin sensual, sassy, and sexy tales involving alpha heroes to die for, and heroines who give as good as they get. From contemporary to paranormal, BDSM to F/F, and Ménage, haunting love stories are guaranteed.
